5 reasons to include Grandparents in your Family Photoshoot.

I love it when families invite parents to be included. A photoshoot with grandparents genuinely is one you will treasure for a lifetime. There is no better way to document your family tree for your child than by inviting grandparents into your next family photo session!

Today I want to share with you a couple of reasons why including the grandparents in your next Family Photo Session is a great idea.

1. The grandparents love their pictures taken.

I believe there is the greatest myth in the society that grandparents are reluctant to have their photos taken (I bet these grandparents just haven't met me then, I'm a sucker for a lovely couple of grandparents). We have that prejudice that the older the person gets, the less will it has to get to be in front of the camera. Getting older is not necessarily mean to be getting boring. By getting our photos taken we mark some special milestones in our lifetime.

2. The in-between moments are the most precious.

Family photoshoots with kids always include a lot of happy moments. Some may not be that obvious, but no doubt that most of them are often accompanied by lots of hugs and kisses from both sides. Now imagine how delightful it can be to have these natural, not planned moments to be shared with your closest family members? The grandparents will definitely enjoy all the love from their grandkids.

3. They can keep an eye on the kids while you are in the spotlight.

Let's face it. A little help ain't gonna kill nobody. Especially when you are on a photoshoot with little kids who are running around and shaking the ground to its core to have some fun. It's good to have someone to help you keep an eye on the kids while you are in the spotlight. To help you to relax a little and enjoy the photoshoot to its fullest. That's where the grandparents can step in. Trust me, every mom wants a photograph of just herself, without any of her beloved children.

4. Quality time spent together as a family.

A family photo shoot with grandparents would be a wonderful thing to look forward to. Especially if your family and grandparents of your kids live in a different city or a state, imagine a different country! These rare moments of meeting each other and spending some quality time together can and should be captured!

Plus the pictures will be delightful for everyone. For you as a parent, it’s wonderful to have pictures of your parents and your children. For grandparents to have pictures that capture the delight on their grandchildren’s faces as they play together is such a joy, and for the kids themselves; to look back on these images in the future will bring back so many happy memories. Who wouldn’t want a picture of themselves sharing a joke or a game with a beloved grandparent?

5. Better motivation to print the photos.

Prints from the session make an amazing gift for everyone involved, and grandparents, parents, and children can all easily look back at that special time together. Once you have taken your family photos then printing them is always a joy, the final piece in the puzzle and the way you will enjoy your images for generations.
